Praise for Kathleen
Here's what clients and medical practitioners are saying about Kathleen:
"I loved being a part of your workshop. I appreciated your relaxed demeanor on video. So much of what others shared resonated with me. Such a wonderful group. This class attracted special people."
"Kathleen is a skilled and compassionate group leader. I've been in multiple groups facilitated by Kathleen and always appreciated the way she moved all of us through methods to connect with ourselves and one another. Some weeks meeting the group was the highlight of my week. I have become a better listener, communicator, and much more compassionate and skilled in the ability to take care of myself. I also ask for help when I need it, that was my biggest learning from the group. I've been in other groups before and realize facilitation is a specialized skill! I found groups ran by Kathleen consistently safe and connecting. If you have a chance to be in one of her groups, I highly recommend it."

“Kathleen Putnam has the unique ability to bridge her exceptional education and training with a heart-centered, humanistic approach to working with others. She is both an optimist and a realist, offering support that is authentic, value-driven, and experienced. I have referred clients to her for years, and she has always provided compassionate care to everyone she meets. What I love about Kathleen the most is that I can trust her implicitly. I always know that my clients are in good hands with her.” Dr. Sibel Golden
"As a nurse whose surgical job was put on hold and reassigned to work on the COVID units of a local hospital, in the early days of the corona virus. In the first few weeks, fear was running high in both patients and staff. Policies and procedures were changing by the hour, and my shifts and hours were fluctuating as well. Kathleen listened openly and with deep compassion, waiting for me to pour all my fears, frustrations and sorrows out. Then, in the most tender way, she acknowledged all I was going through and how difficult that must be. She then pointed out my strengths and helped me come up with strategies and comfort measures to help me get through my days. Kathleen didn't dictate, judge, or tell me what to do or even try to "fix" anything. She had an innate sense of "knowing" what I needed, and helped me come to this awareness with her guidance. Hearing her voice on the other end of the line, and being truly listened to, alone gave me peace and comfort. Kathleen balances compassion with knowledge, and weaves these two with ease, grace and humor. She helped me find the strength to carry on, providing care to my patients, knowing I had her to turn to as a gifted coach. Kathleen combines the art and science of true healing, and I highly recommend her for grief, stress, and end of life coaching. Kathleen is excellent." Sue L.
"Kathleen is the perfect blend of warm, compassionate and knowledgeable. She is particularly skilled at identifying her clients' strengths and using those strengths to help clients reach their goals. Highly recommend! " |
"This woman is the most wonderful wonderful human I've encountered in working through my fears and struggles managing a series of crises at home with my daughter who suffers from disordered eating. I'll never forget in my first appointment she said to me, "who knows, it may never be fully understood why this happened but you are here and ready to figure out the next best steps for you, your daughter, and family. That's what matters now and I can support you." I walked out of that appointment feeling like a load had been lifted from my shoulders and I slept better that night than I had in ages. She gave me guidance and confidence working through the most difficult year of my life. Kathleen is a sensitive listener, provides thoughtful insights, and I always feel ready to take on the next step when I meet with her."

"I wasn't sure what to expect from the holding space consultation offered by the Institute of Birth, Breathe and Death, but it was cathartic, affirming, and open; I really appreciate your
listening and your active mirroring of my own experience as it unfolded over Zoom. Thank YOU Kathleen."

"It was an absolute joy to have Kathleen Putnam as part of the recent Coaching at End of Life training. Kathleen is caring, compassionate, and has a passion for helping others through difficult end of life experiences. Kathleen especially excels in facilitating grief groups. She creates a safe place where people can share openly and freely, where true hope and support can be found. Those who are facing grief, transitions, loss and end of life issues will be blessed to have Kathleen as their coach." |
"My family had asked me to talk with someone for over a year since my daughter died. It was after I was in a recent car accident that I decided they were right. I need to face what's eating me up inside and I decided to work with Kathleen. She is calm and reassuring even though all I talked about was my anger. She easily answers my questions and I could tell she understands and cares."
